How much do you pay for your phone
|
I’m feeling jittery. *Paying £75pm. New contract. Unlimited everything which sadly I require for work. But still feels like I’ve been raped.
And not in a nice way. Is everyone similar?
*yes, I wiped my nob on it before signing

£10 a month with 3 8GB t'internet Unlimited calls/texts. Go Roam included so same in Europe/USA etc They are stopping that for new contracts thanks to Brexit, another win. Although I'll still get it as use the same SIM.
I buy a new phone when I can be asked as it saves around £300-£400 over the price of a contract.

I pay with my liberty.
At least theoretically.
The authorities could know its whereabouts any time they wanted to enough.
I doubt they ever want to, though.

£1.23 pm for 5GB which unused rolls over and 1000 minutes. Plenty for my needs.
I'm with Virgin and haven't renewed my phone since the contract expired last December. I don't quite understand why I'm paying so little but the phone (Samsung) works as well as it did when I got it, so I won't be questioning the price I'm being charged.

A bit triggering, is it, Manuel? As painful and humiliating it must have been for you, look on the bright side. You're not a sad virgin. Just sad.

I buy my new phones from Gumtree. You hear a lot about people being mugged but it's never happened to me and that sort of threat doesn't bother me. Everyone I have bought a phone from has been really nice.
A quick story. I had to meet someone I only communicated with by text at Ealing Broadway and as he came out of the station he called me. I looked across and all I could see on his phone was an Iman and I said 'is that you in the brown Iman outfit?' he said that it was and we went for a coffee while he showed me the brand new, unopened phone with about £300 off.
While we were talking I said to him that.as soon as I saw him I knew I could trust him as he was a religious man. He replied that he thought the same thing about me as a white Englishman as we'd never tried to rip him off.
He told me loads of stories about a certain type of person that had said that they would buy his phones, take it and leg it down the street.
Anyway, £16 a month with 3, unlimited everything.

Don’t know if they have them in the UK but I’m on a Vodafone no plan, I just pay for the calls and texts I make all be it at a higher rate, I then add a data pack which is only 5GB a month but for $5, (about 2 quid) and it’s always enough with free Wi-Fi being just about everywhere these days.
I make fuck all calls, have a landline at work so why use my mobile?, don’t have a home phone but with WhatsApp and Skype etc, lucky if I use the phone more than 2 or 3 times a week, so all up with a few texts and the data pack about $10 Aussie dollars a month (5 quid) I do buy my own phone, but they usually last me around 4 years, always something decent, got an iPhone 12 ATM, the previous iPhone 7 I sold easy enough so that reduced the price of the new one.

Huawei p20 lite that I've had for years and never let me down. Never do a contract again so buy outright. SIM only 40gb data UL calls and texts £12pm on EE.
I just don't understand the need for these new £2000 phones and high monthly costs plus insurance

If you need it for work, don't they pay/contribute?
I pay £14pm for unlimited everything on Three. Signed the contract the day before they chopped their roaming, so I've got two more years with very good roaming included.
